The Federal Work-Study Program provides eligible university
students with part-time jobs to help supplement their income
while they are students. For students who beneft from more
fnancial support, having work-study can set them up for success
in college. Students can verify Federal Work-Study (FWS) eligibility
and provide any questions regarding on-campus employment
utilizing FWS by contacting the Federal Work-Study Ofce on
campus at workstudy@csusb.edu.
How do I know if I am eligible
for work-study?
You must apply for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) to determine if you qualify for work-study. After
processing your application, FAFSA will determine your
eligibility for work-study.
How do I find and apply for
work-study jobs?
After you get approved for work-study, you should access
the job listing page on Handshake with qualifying openings.
Check the on-campus job listing page and read the job
description to see if that job works for your situation.
Thoroughly and completely fll out the application form and
attach any required documentation. Typically, students apply
for multiple work-study roles to maximize their chances of
landing a role.
